Greetings…
As per our previous customer advisory notice on May 20th advising of likely freight price increases, Autohub has now been informed by all shipping companies we use of cost increases they are imposing effective from the next quarter.
After reviewing all received cost increases (BAF, freight rates, and other) notified so far, we have been left with no choice but to pass on such increases and adjust vehicle shipping package costs.
 Â
Increase details:
Japan to NZ
- NZD $200 increase per vehicle, for vehicles departing Japan July 1st onwards.
- NZD $5 BAF increase per vehicle, for vehicles departing Japan July 1st onwards.
UK to NZ from July 1st
- NZD $50 increase per vehicle,  for vehicles departing Japan July 1st onwards
- Container Freight per vehicle – POA.
- NZD $120 BAF increase per vehicle
- Port service charge (where applicable)*
Australia to NZ from July 1st
- NZD $30 BAF increase per vehicle up to 20 cbm (over 20 cbm, please enquire)
- Port service charge (where applicable)*
Singapore and Hong Kong to NZ
- POA
Â
*Ports of Auckland stevedores now charging for vehicle movements on port as of July 1st.
Increases will be applied to your D2D package price and invoices automatically.
We realise this is a significant cost increase, but one we have to accept in order for shipping lines to commit to continue the shipping of used vehicles, especially from Japan, given the current global shipping capacity shortage.
