EBS Fees
Maersk have announced that, due to bunker fuel prices rising significantly, they will now be introducing an Emergency Bunker Fuel Surcharge to cover costs. This charge is variable and based on Bunker fuel prices, so it could rise or be removed should fuel prices drop back to what they have been recently.
Unfortunately, Autohub is unable to carry EBS charges and have no choice but to pass these onto our customers using this service.
At this stage, The EBS fees charged by Maersk works out to $135 per car and will be applied to any vehicle loaded onto a vessel from June 1st 2018. You will see this as a separate line entry on your D2D Autohub Invoice.
THC Charges
Maersk have advised that they will be charging additional Terminal Handling Charges effective July 1st 2018. Autohub is currently seeking clarification of the exact cost increases we face and will consider before making any pricing adjustments. We will advise prior should adjustments are deemed necessary.
