Re: Heat Treatment to resume for 2024.
Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) season will start again on September 1st this year. All used vehicles departing Japan on or after this date will be subject to mandatory Heat Treatment as part of MPI requirements.
At this stage, vehicles on Trans Future 5 155 and all subsequent vessels will be subject to Heat Treatment. Note that any delays to current schedules which result in the ultimate departure date falling in September will mean that vehicles require treatment.
Light vehicle up to 3T will again be subject to a heat treatment charge of $225.00. Larger, heavier vehicles will be subject to additional heat treatment charges.
Please be aware that damaged vehicles, non-running vehicles and commercial machinery will not be accepted for Heat Treatment at this time.
