Registration Plates
VIA reminds dealers to register rebate-qualifying cars before 31 December.
As has happened on previous occasions, there may be a rush to register vehicles due to upcoming legislative changes and there is a possibility some areas may run short of registration plates.
VIA suggests that you make sure you have vehicles that qualify for the rebate to be registered so you are not held up later in the month wanting to register a vehicle so your customer can claim the rebate by 31 December.
VIA has advised NZTA of the possible shortage so they can ensure there are sufficient numbers of registration plates available in the regions.
