RE: Q1 2024 Freight Package and BAF revision notice:
We have now received our latest pricing amendments from all of our service providers and regret to advise that there will be some increases with effect from Q1 2024.
A number of companies involved in our supply chain have had to revise pricing over the previous quarter including, Local Transporters, Customs Brokers, Marine Insurers and Shipping Lines. Unfortunately these charges do need to be recouped via our D2D package service.
The net effect on the overall D2D package is an increase of $14.00 to base rates for customers based within the metropolitan area of the main ports.
General rate increases for local transport, as well as the ongoing inclusion of Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF), has resulted in some significant increases in local transport costs to some areas. Charges are subject to the overall distance from the port so will vary from centre to centre.
If you are outside the main centres, please contact us to confirm your new rates for the coming quarter.
BAF has also been increased by all of the shipping lines we regularly use. The new BAF rate for standard vehicles for the coming quarter will be $150.00 per unit. Oversize vehicles have also increased and are charged on a case by case basis.
These pricing increases will take effect from all vessels departing on or after the 1st January 2024.
Whilst price increases are not ideal, we have worked to keep these to a minimum to cover costs and continue to deliver the levels of service we pride ourselves on.
