The Transport Minister David Parker, as one last act, signed off on proposed amendments to the Vehicle Exhaust Emissions Rule on Oct 12th

To summarise what this means for Used Vehicle Imports:

  • The Rule changes come into effect December 1st 2023
  • So, From April 2024 –

  • Diesel vehicles will need to have an emissions code of LXX, FXX, MXX, RXX, or QXX  or better (VIA is seeking further clarification from MoT on any age ban for diesels)
