As most of you will know, the full Clean Car Rebates/Fees system came into force April 1st.
This saw the “fees” part become a reality and some cars are subject to significant cost increases through CCD fees.
We have been advised that many European cars imported used from Japan may not need to incur such high penalties, as these are based on data received from Japanese authorities and may differ significantly with information from source.
SOCNZ, an independent NZ based consultancy, has a commercial relationship with TUV SUD Germany. TUV SUD is an independent global vehicle testing, verification and certification company that, amongst many things, holds European vehicle manufacturing homologation data which can in some cases prove the CO2 emissions of some makes and models are significantly less than that found on the NZ Rightcar Website, and therefore incur less (and in some cases none) penalties at registration.
