As you are probably aware, we have been facing sporadic vessel arrivals into NZ due to BMSB vessel infestations.
While this has greatly interrupted the normal shipping schedules, this has resulted in very large (and growing) stock piles of used vehicles sitting in ports and various storage facilities around Japan awaiting shipment.
Subsequently, we have been advised by our shipping lines that there will be a continual stream of vessels arriving into Ports of Auckland from now and beyond Easter.
This together with the Easter break will cause serious congestion on the wharf.
We will be looking to deliver as many vehicles as quickly as possible, so please make sure your invoices are paid as early as possible to enable this. Vehicles which are not cleared for release by Autohub will be de-prioritised and may take significantly longer to be delivered.
Can you please contact your Compliance Centre/s and advise them there will be high volumes of vehicles arriving over the next 2-3 weeks.
If they are unable to receive your vehicles, please advise Autohub of an alternate delivery address.
Any vehicles that we are unable to deliver due to being turned away WILL incur additional charges.
