Service – JEVIC are currently providing Autohub with all pre-export services. They have confirmed that these services will be provided to Autohub in all Ports we ship from. This includes BMSB treatment to NZ MPI requirements for the BMSB season. All going well, there should be little or no hold ups in our service barring perhaps a few ‘teething issues’ at first as this is a new process and as always, unforeseen issues may arise.

BMSB Treatment Service price – As announced by JEVIC August 28th, all vehicles processed through JEVIC’s approved treatments and shipped from September 1st 2018 till arrival April 30th 2019 will attract a BMSB surcharge. For all driveable vehicles up to 3000 kgs GVM (your typical cars, vans, SUV’s etc), the service fee will be $225 NZD. For vehicles over 3000 kgs GVM, the service fee will be advised on a case by case basis (this commonly will involve fire engines, trucks, busses, specialised equipped heavy vehicles).

BMSB Treatment for other vehicles/parts – We have received inquiries from some clients with regards damaged vehicles, non-drivers, or non-rollers as to whether these vehicles have to undergo the same BMSB treatment prior to shipping.

Yes, all vehicles and machinery are subject to BMSB Treatment prior to shipping, no matter what condition.
We are currently discussing with JEVIC how such vehicles are handled for Treatment. We believe there will be complications and additional costs involved, so we anticipate costs incurred will be on a cases by case basis for these – please contact us to discuss.

Autohub invoices – For vehicles that incur a BMSB Treatment surcharge, you will see this on your D2D invoice as a separate line entry. Autohub will be on-charging this surcharge at cost. As this is a service conducted outside of NZ, it will not attract any GST.

Possible further price increases – At this stage, we have elected not to pass on any further cost increases we have incurred. As we advised earlier, all shipping lines have stated they are reviewing their rates (some have already increased) and once we have all new rates disclosed to us, we will review with the possibility of having to pass some or all of these increases on.
